Sarah Jessica Parker has shared the heartbreaking news that her beloved stepfather, Paul Giffin Forste, has passed away. He was 76 years old.
“Our family is saddened to announce that after an unexpected and sudden illness, Paul Giffin Forste passed away yesterday at the age of 76,” the “Sex and the City” star’s family said in a statement obtained by Page Six on Thursday.
“In his final moments he was surrounded by the love and gratitude of his children, including his beloved wife of 54 years, Barbara and Sarah Jessica Parker.”
The statement added, “Paul will be remembered for the spirit of loving kindness that he believed in, his special joy in his 13 grandchildren and his unwavering belief in making the world a more caring, tolerant and beautiful place for all.”
Page Six exclusively reported Wednesday night that Parker, 57, abruptly pulled out of the New York City Ballet’s 10th Annual Fall Fashion Gala due to a “suddenly devastating family situation.”
It’s not clear when the two started dating, but York joined …
A source first told Us that the “First Wives Club” actress met David H. Koch left the theater moments after arriving for a fundraiser, where she was honored.
Parker is the Vice Chair of the NYCB Board of Directors. She also hosted the first Fall Fashion Gala a decade ago.
Parker’s family tragedy comes just one day after she attended the “Hocus Pocus 2” premiere with her husband Matthew Broderick and her 13-year-old twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha. The pair also share a 19-year-old son, James.
