A DOCUMENTARY SERIES CHARTING THE LIFE OF DAVID BECKHAM WILL BE AIRING ON NETFLIX.

The multi-episode television show will follow Beckham, 47, from his modest upbringing in east London to his football glory.

It will combine interviews with Beckham with personal archive material from the past 40 years that has never been seen before.

his family, friends, and other people who have helped him along the way both on and off the field.

"I'm pleased to confirm that I am teaming with @Netflix on a documentary series about my life and career," Beckham wrote with some old photos of himself on Instagram.

The series will include interviews with the people who have supported me along the way as well as previously unreleased archive and hidden stories.

Fisher Stevens, who won an Academy Award in 2010 for the documentary The Cove, will direct and produce the film.

Working on the series with Bjorn Johnson, who edited Don't F*** With Cats, is Chris King, who edited the documentaries Senna and Amy.
