The British vocalist and pianist, who has been active for more than 50 years, has produced some of the most recognisable and lasting pop-rock music.

Since the late 1960s, Elton John has been playing on our radios and in our ears.

The performer, whose real name is Reginald Kenneth Dwight, began performing at the age of seventy-five on Friday night at Citizens Bank Park.

He has sold over 300 million records worldwide, has played over 4,000 shows in 80 countries, 

his 1997 reworking of “Candle In The Wind” to eulogize Princess Diana, which sold 33 million copies.
