Despite the seismic changes that occurred during the offseason in college football, the upcoming season will provide fans with a breath of familiarity.

Yes, perennial playoff teams Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, and Clemson lead the preseason College Football Power Rankings once again.

Last season's rankings, on the other hand, had the Spencer Rattler-led Oklahoma Sooners at No. 2 and both Iowa State and North Carolina in the top ten – and we all know how that turned out.

Which team will be remembered as a flop next season? What teams will fall out of the rankings after two weeks this year? Nothing matters right now.

All 25 of the top teams from the preseason rankings still have optimism as we approach August. Here are this season's initial Power Rankings without further ado.

Transfers and upperclassmen are attempting to keep the newcomers at bay, but each season, a number of first-year players arrive and earn a starting spot.
