The Railway Children, has died aged 93

Bernard Cribbins had a diverse filmography that included roles in the Carry On flicks and the original Casino Royale.

Cribbins has also been in Coronation Street and, more recently, The Bill.

Doctor Who, in addition to a succession of top ten successes, including the 1962 comic song Right Said Fred.

He died at the age of 93. He was a member of The Wombles and starred in the film adaption of The Railway Children.

"His career spanned seven decades with such broad work spanning from films like The Railway Children and the Carry On series," stated Gavin Barker Associates.

"He worked well into his 90s, most recently in Doctor Who and the CBeebies show Old Jack's Boat."

"Bernard's significance to British entertainment is undeniable."
